Anybody use a skipping rope? Is there anything that you should look for in a rope and how hard is it to do without tripping up?

Stand on the rope and pull your hands up they should be level with your hips.
That would be a bit too short imo. Midway between waist and armpits would be more comfortable (it is for me).
