SKS mudguard

So bought two sets, one for the OHs new geint crs... this took all of 30 mins to fit on the bike... then over to my Sirrus sport! I can't see how the back guard goes on without drilling holes in the bike, and don't want to do that to a 2 week old bike. Anyone else had this issue? I assume it's a design fault in the bike.

Yes! I ended up bodging a bracket thing using bits of metal lying around in the garage. Works well enough once I had found a nut and bolt on the correct sizing, a classic adapt, improvise and overcome situation.

Ah, I see an A team moment coming on (plastic ties was going to be an option)

Once I can look at the mudgaurds again without hitting them then I will carry on fitting them!

If you haven't got eyelets on your frame for mudgaurds, either get the SKS race blades or seeing as you already have the guards, get a set of P-Clips

drill the hole in the rear mud guard instead and they go on easy no need for p clips, I'll have a look and see if I've old pic.

P-clips wrap around your seat stays, then you have a loop to bolt your mudguards onto.

Ah I see.

Have fixed the issue, drilled a hole on top of the bridge clip and screwed it in.

Ok Problem 2:

On both the sirrus and the CRS, when you are turning and pedaling there is a point where your foot hits the gaurd. Anyone had this or do I have odd sized feet?

Its Toe Overlap, quite a lot of bikes have that, I wouldn't worry its pretty hard to turn the bars far enough to cause a toe strike unless stationary.

Very common. Shouldn't be an issue unless you're doing a very slow turn. You'll soon learn to compensate.
