Ooo ooo, my Humax Foxsat HD GTi V6 twin-turbo box has just arrived. - now I can record crap TV when I'm not at home and never watch what I've recorded. I'm actually quite excited!

Put a 1 Terabyte hard disk in it Ed - you'll be able to stack up loads more. I've got one and it's 45% full of pure drivel essential teenage viewing already!

I got the 320GB one Mort, it can hold 160 hours of non-HD tripe - that's gotta be enough. Surely.

You guys don't know what you're talking about.

Until you've got 37 episodes of Hannah Montanna stacked-up in your planner, you've got nowhere near enough crap on your drive ...

Cheers,
Shaun

Well that was easy enough to install (hadn't had time until today) and I didn't have to breakdown and read the instruction book

Thanks for that Mort - I'll check it out. Recorded the Chess records story and a Chuck Berry concert last night - trying to claim disc space before it's filled with Iggle Piggle and the like!

I can report that the Humax 'let's annoy the customer dept' is still there and plastic is still being stuck inside the front panel.

I had to Google 'how to open the front panel' though - couldn't work it out!

Good man! One tip - there is usually a piece of peel off transparent plastic on the rear of the little flap at the front. If you peel it off the remote control will be a lot more responsive.

I was wondering why the remote control was a bit sluggish on my new Humax! Thanks for pointing that out!

If you change it for a Harmony one it's even better, and it'll control everything else as well, so can set up a macro to turn on your tv, turn on the Foxsat, and switch your A/V amplifier to the correct setting, all with one touch of a button.

Doesn't work on the dog though!

I bought one of those, not sure of the make but it wasn't a cheap one. I can't get it to work even with reading the instructions. Might have to get the old Sony one out :becool:
