I ditched my TV a few years back, I wanted to cut back on technology in general, too much of it in my life with no value to me. I was with Sky broadband and TV, when I contacted they would reduce the cost a lot. But I left it and continued to reduce technology around me. I just have mobile with unlimited data £14 pm with three. No TV license. Watch YouTube for docs and films from charity shops but films are poor nowadays. Talktalk where also good for me for prices.

Bad news Freesat users ... 4HD and All4 are being taken off the service next week due to an increase in fees! (LINK)

Double drat - 4HD is one of my favourite channels! They are obligated to continue with 4SD but I like my HD!

Even more annoyingly, the All4 app on my TV has packed in so I can't use that either unless I can find a way to fix it.

Looks like it will be 4SD from now on or casting All4 from my laptop or phone to the TV ...

Oh, and that means that I won't be able to skip the ads any more either!

If you have any 4HD series programmed in you will need to change them over to the 4SD version to continue recording them.

Anyone knowing if the free to air 4HD is going or if it's just being dropped from the Freesat EPG?
On Freesat only. Freesat charge Channel 4 for All4 and 4HD support and have just bumped the fees, which Ch4 have said no to. They have to provide SD to all platforms so that will never go. Freeview HD isn't affected.

Hopefully, some compromise will be reached.

I just got the All4 app working on my TV but the picture quality is SD anyway so I might as well just record 4SD - hmph!
