I've kind of half fixed this in a bodge sort of way. Brand new bike and shifters and there is a slight click from the right hand shifter on braking. All the cables look to be bedded in properly, as far as I can tell.
My bodge is that I have screwed the reach adjustment screw in literally half a turn so it doesn't come all the way back (by around a mm) and therefore isn't catching whatever is causing the noise. I'm just more interested in what it might actually be, rather than just avoiding it!
