When driving have you had a confrontation with a cyclist?

I was driving home the other afternoon with the roof down when I passed a cyclist who seemed to be riding a road bike/fixed conversion when I pulled up at some lights he came along side me and held onto the area above the windscreen so i looked over to see what ne was riding and got "you got a problem mate" in an aggresive manner, my reply was no i was looking to see what you were riding but if you speak to me like that you will be the one with the problem. He looked bemused and said "ok mate" the lights changed and that was the end.

A non cyclist would have possibly used that as an excuse for a punishment pass or to enforce " The all cyclists are a problem" mindset.

I think you did the right thing. He sounds like a muppet.

A cyclist did the same when I had a convertible car - rested his hand on the top of the windscreen at a junction, presumably to save him having to unclip.

I'd have tickled him under the armpit
