I've got this annoying issue with my PC at home. The USB ports either on the unit itself, or via the monitor, are incredibly slow, running at USB 1 speed when they should be running at USB 2.0.
For example, if i copy several film files to a USB stick, it can take several minutes to copy over. when i then plug that USB stick into my laptops, it will copy the files off in about 20 secs.
The PC is running Windows 7 but had the same issue when it was Vista. The laptops are a combination of XP and Windows 7 and there's no problems with speed when transferring files to or from the USB stick.
I have tried every USB port available on the PC and it is as slow as frick. I've tried to find a BIOS update for the motherboard (Foxconn G31MX) without much success.
If anybody has any other ideas, I'd be much appreciative!
