As I 'crunched' down to Shed 1 with my new wheels tonight I realised, as there had been a shower, there were quite a lot of snails on the path.
Decided to have a round-up of the little blighters and without straying off the path onto the lawn collected 133 snails and slugs.

That's a lot - quite a meal for one of our Froggy cousins too!

Send them to me, younger Noodlette loves 'bugs and slugs and stuff'. I'm sure she would give them a good jam jar home.

Part of the cycle path I use to get to work gets covered in these little blighters after it rains and it really slows down my commute time as I feel obliged to run over each and every one of them.

The shells of the snails makes a very nice "crunch" as you go over them

Oh gross!!!

Snails are cool, they are so interesting. Not sure I want 133 of them though. And I'd like it if they didn't eat my plants please.

And as for slugs.....just don't mention them. We get them in the kitchen and living room. We once found slime trail on the sofa  At least a snail has a shell that stops it oooozing underneath the front door!

Instead of pellets and going around the garden in the middle of the night with a torch and squishing them how can I catch or get rid of them? How do you make a trap with beer?

You just put a cup or jar in the soil so they can get to it easily and fill it with beer, which they love. You need to cover it with something so the rain doesn't wash the beer away.

Then pour the whole lot through a sieve, collect the beer and enjoy
