And I also agree with you about the extortionate soft drinks - I'm hardly likely not to, being a near-teetotaller. Should be a law against that sort of rip-off....

When I did my BII course (to get an alcohol licence) there is a section on responsible drinking, and the importance of rewarding people who don't drink (because they're usually the designated driver). Stuff like cheaper soft drinks, alcohol free bottles etc.

Since all pub owners need an alcohol licence, maybe they just sleep through that bit.

to be honest if I had a pub I wouldnt let a bunch of smelly guys come in no matter what they had just been doing.

Especially if I was doing food aswell.. put people off their dinner.
