Complete tosser pulled out of a give way and swiped the back end of my bike, a bit of a moment but managed to stay upright. He stopped and got and out to ask if I was ok but I was too busy calling f**k out of him...;)

Good start to the week...;)

Nasty, good to hear you are ok though.
I take it there is no damage to you or the bike?

This is getting ridiculous, those streets really are mean, good to hear you’re OK, could have been nasty

Hope the back wheel is OK, is it ‘fixed’ already ... ;)

Ouch.

The off that put me off the bike for 3 weeks was one of these. Problem I fund is that the car "scoops" the bike from underneath you, and slams the upper half of your body into the ground pretty hard. My back wheel was a write off after mine, and I'd advise you to check yours very carefully.

mike and bike are both ok, although I will give the bike a good looking over. I was on my geared road bike, would have been even more annoyed had it been my fixed.

I nearly had one of those on Saturday, I even heard the missus in the passenger seat screaming "Look out". The chap stopped with his bumper touching my left pedal. I got off, went round and very calmly asked him whether he feels he should be driving if his eyesight wasn't good enough to see a fat c**t like me in a brightly yellow hi viz.

Good that you saved it Mike. Mine made me think that "cycling isn't dangerous... but sharing roads with cars is".

I had one driver last week look me right in the eye at ten yards and then pull out, completely ignoring me, bright yellow high viz jacket on, 55w headlamp and 250kg of BMW motorbike under me that morning. The twat.
Glad to hear you're OK.

Gripping the wheel, looking out of the windscreen and continuing to pretend that he couldn't see the fat **** in the bright yellow jacket.

I smile about it now but it was bloody unnerving, just seeing this Focus' bumper getting closer and closer in my peripheral vision.
