So it's about -4C, there is snow and slush about. I'm coming down a fairly steep hill (luckily) not travelling too fast due to traffic. This 'lady' decides that observation isn't required in these conditions.

I lost my front wheel at the very end. Luckily I managed to stay upright....

Aye. She did have plenty of time to look after the Rover had turned, though.

I think my banshee shout had something to do with her noticing me!

I honestly don't think she did on this occasion. I had a feeling about her and I was watching her. She just didn't look after the RR had turned off. That's why I didn't accelerate too much and why I managed to stop in time.

Knowing that junction she probably seized on the opportunity of a gap without thinking that there may be traffic behind the RR. Idiot.

I had a more blatant manouver than that a few weeks ago. I had to swerve around the back of a driver who saw me but just pulled out anyway, blocking the lane. The first time I've skelped a car (my hand on the back window to make her aware of my prescence you understand ) On the bright side I was pleased with the improvement in my motor co-ordination skills. Wouldn't have stayed upright if I'd done that a few months ago

Maggers, you need to get a bit of timber, about 6ft long and strap it acroos your bars. put a light on each end. She wasn't looking for anything other than an offside headlamp peeking round the 4x4. of course, you'll not be able to filter down the middle then.

Look on the bright side. you got to cycle in today. Shes going to have to scrape her windows again this afternoon.

She's rolling towards and then through the junction even before the RR has executed its left turn (no signal, btw). She was going for the gap, without looking IMO, and assumed the RR would delay traffic sufficiently to allow her to join the carriageway, however as you were close to the RR you spoilt her plans!

No criticism intended, but it might have been easier to veer right (lane split) as it gives you a bigger buffer and you would not have had to brake so sharply and risk losing your front wheel.
