As of today adults are banned from lighting up in a car if there are kiddies in there with them.

Surely even the most ardent smoker doesn't need a law to tell them to stop doing something so flipping stupid, or am I living I a wonderful la-la land where even smokers can be expected to use common sense when enjoying their hobby?

If I have learned anything in life, it's that the majority simply don't think.

Please send me a postcard from La-La Land, I've always wondered what it's like.

I've mentioned this before but to save me typing it all out again...
My neighbour has a 'baby on board' sign obscuring about 1/3rd of her car's rear window. Every morning she takes her little princess out to the car, straps her into the big fancy booster seat with full harness, ensuring, like any good mother, that her daughter is safe and snug and protected from harm.

She then gets into the car, lights up a fag and starts her 30 minute journey to the daycare nursery cocooning the poor girl in a smoke-filled cell. I'm sure she's bursting with paternal pride for her little girl.

Where does one draw the line? FPNs for letting your kids eat fast food?

Bang on. Obesity is a far larger drain on NHS resources than smoking.

what about when the child is not in the car, the car has an accident and is on its roof and the emergency services are looking for a child tat is not there. pointless signs in my view.

What if there was only the driver do they look for people that may have occupied the other seats ? (same scenario)

Smoking is also a cheap way of undergoing gender re-assignation too. :okay:
