Finally coming down here now - damp and fine, coming in on a southerly breeze. Snow on a southerly wind feels completely wrong to me. It's now milder than it's been all day but if the temperature drops much tonight I may have to cancel all engagements tomorrow and hide in the pub.

Interesting combination of temperature and moisture have given us a few hours of freezing rain; have seldom see that. There are icicles hanging from everything. It's warm and melting now though.

Started this afternoon, slushy ride to work at 2.45pm. Hit twice by snowballs thrown by scallies. Kept snowing until about half an hour ago, good five inches on the ground now. Hope it's not too bad for the ride home tomorrow at 3.30pm. I've only 3 miles to go so can realistically walk with the bike if necessary.
Real problem is if my replacements can't get in. Looks like the waking night staff might struggle too, so I might be woken through the night by phone calls as I'll have to take the phone with me.

Really fine pathetic stuff here in W. Suffolk but its blowing about a fair bit - its just about covered the garden now.
Wasn't much fun when up a ladder, down the alley, in the dark trying to cover my pipes in the hope they wont burst as the bloody boiler has given up the ghost at the worst possible time!!

Pretty heavy here too. We spent a couple of hours out after dinner, including dragging all the kids on sleds behind the MTB.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on as I was towing my son and he was scooping up snow and chucking it at me. :snowball: :giggle:
