I think you need to be doing something a touch different for tan brogues.

Still with the racial stereotypes in Southsea then Gavin. Some things might have passed your attention. What I actually said was:

But don't you think there might be a small possibility he might be African?

Not that he wasn't British, although equally he could have been. You really need to sharpen up your reading comprehension before replying.

There's absolutely no evidence in the picture for making any assumptions about where he might be from. Why do you think it's possible he's from Africa? Did you have anywhere in particular within that vast and varied continent in mind?

Accra, Ghana maybe?

I wonder how representative Accra, Ghana is of the whole continent with regard to sock wearing habits...

I wear brown toetectors in the factory because they don't do a black option in my size in the safety supplier's catalogue.
Anyway the colour isn't important because they'll soon get scuffed, covered in oil and paint and generally look very dog eared after a few weeks anyway.

They do however match my works trousers with knee pads and a gazillion pockets and my non company issue ripped Metallica t-shirt.

As far as my experiences around Africa I would say it's fairly representative. So perhaps you might enlighten us with your observations regarding this subject in Africa. I'm sure you might be a Cat 6 Racing hipster but don't race to the wrong conclusions. Why does everyone one get so excited when black people are featured? I'm often referred to as Obruni which means "white man" which I am quite happy to respond to but if you hailed a black person as such in the UK you'd be pilloried as a racist . Grow up, people's skin colour is just that.
