is this due to health or is it due to risk of a car hitting your house or your sofa instantaneously combusting?

It is all risks combined. The combustion term is fairly small if you have a recently-purchased sofa, that for choking on a chocolate covered brazil nut is somewhat larger.

Many years ago, we were in the processing area of the X-Ray department of the Plymouth Naval Hospital when one of the consultants walked in and said:

"Chief, there is a car parked in my Office, I will be in the Mess whilst you sort it out!"

Went in and someone had driven through the office wall, taken out the reporting viewing boxes and his desk and was parked there with a bemused driver stuck as the doors could not open.

Called Police and Fire Brigade who sorted it all, but had it happened a few minutes earlier and he had been reporting.....
