Meaning you have everything delivered?

Nope, Mrs Ian does go to the Supermarket for non perishables, tin foods etc.
For fresh veg and meat we shop at local indie stores.

I just can't abide supermarkets, especially the big ones. I find them very claustrophobic & stifling.

Lidl is great...way way cheaper than the main supermarkets and in my opinion th eforiegn brands are in many cases better than uk stuff...they are big in germany...my shopping bill halved when i started going there...and they do a great line in wetsuits

Leicester has one of the best deep most overrated overpriced surly staffed water quarries in the uk  stoney cove. Although you'll need a bit more than a shortie in there! Especially on the Hydrobox in January

FTFY unless you go midweek then its a lot better attitude from the staff. there are othe forums I frequent that have had discussions about stoney.

and fully agree about the shortie although I have seen some mad idiots at a Freeze your nuts off "gig" dive in a shorty in Feb for a total of 17 Minutes BT .

I think shorties might be for sale in the services as its a good catch all for the Geordies etc heading to the warm South west. (Ha!!)

I dragged Mrs FF (kicking and screaming) into one last weekend due to a camping crisis, we emerged with Sultana Bran and Muesli, Olives stuffed with garlic and a bottle of Montepulciano d'Abbruzzo for £3.50 (which was far better than it had any right to be at that price). The Sultana bran was scrummy fruity too. So I know what you mean!
Back home, Lidl is too far away to be useful, but if there was one in town I'd certainly use it.
Dragging Mrs FF away from Waitrose though would take some doing ....

here lidl is directly opposite waitrose...lot's of people park in waitrose, walk into lidl and buy 90% of their shopping then nip back into waitrose for a few things like fresh fish or fresh meat/deli counter etc...you can spot them easily enough because they are wearing lidl wetsuits!

who is making it for you?

I have an Othree msf 500 and it is a dry suit. my beaver Trilaminate was always a damp suit

It's going to be a Seaskin 3mm Neoprene. Being new to this lark the choice is all a bit boggling, so I've plumped for the one almost everyone at my dive school has, on the basis that I've seen it working well, so why not.

Stoney is the place for me, mainly because it's only 15 minutes drive down the road and we can be first in the water whilst there is still some usable visibility, and done by 11am when it's a free for all.

I'm not doing too bad at the moment, I don't know if you picked up on comments between me and Rocky, but I got a BCD, regulator, octopus, 3 gauge console, 15L cylinder and 12kg of weights for £320. All really good stuff with only 20 dives on them. Bought new on day one by a numpty (all the gear, no idea) who was a hopeless diver - according to my instructors - and very quickly packed it in.

Oh,and I do own a shortie as well, and for the benefit of BoaB, this is how it should be worn :
