Talk about an over-reaction. I simply DGAF, that's all.

The number of heirs would have no bearing on abolition. Think about it.

I didn't say it would.

The point for the House of Windsor is there's no realistic prospect of them running out of suitable male heirs, let alone females, for several generations.

Thus while the public still want a monarchy, it's hard to see the monarch being anything other than a Windsor.

If the public as a whole don't want a monarchy, eventually there won't be one so it won't matter who the monarch would have been.

It might not have been what you intended to say but it is what you wrote

Clearly you are incapable of dealing with two propositions in one sentence.

The security of the monarchy looks assured unless there is an enormous shift in public opinion.

That monarch looks likely to be a Windsor for several generations.

Surely it is quality rather than quantity that is important?

Rather than quality, I would suggest popularity is more important.

We all have our views on that.

Charles has always looked bit of a duffer to me, but both the sons look like they would make reasonable kings.

Both appear to enjoy widespread public affection, even the younger one, who has come on a bit after some iffy events earlier in his life.
