So proud of my Dad

78 years old, artificial knees and hips, lost mum last year after being together since 14. So what did he do today??

Got on the MTB and rode 17 miles...not bad for a chap who cant walk without two sticks.

It's one of the great things about cycling that it often offers more mobility to people who struggle to walk. I arrrived at a Youth Hostel once alongside a chap on a bike, and it wasn't until we both dismounted and went in that I could see he walked with a very awkward pronounced limp. I know a few people who find cycling much easier than walking. It's a great leveller.
