I totally agree with you here.;)

So please explain how this differs from my incident. Look at benborp's road position. I'd call that pretty primary. Surely if he stuck to the cycle-lane that is there he wouldn't hold the taxis up. Would you agree by cycling the way he did, he held up the taxi? Do you think he did this legitimately or was he just causing unecessary delay?

Don't just copy Mag, Col. Think of something original. Besides, it's a valid question. Why not try and furnish an answer?

Ok good point, that was childish of me.

It didnt seem obvious to me that he was trying to hold anyone up on purpose, and his position was good relative to what was going on around him, also he was fair tanking along it seems.

...but he was holding the taxi up. That's the point. The taxi wanted to go faster and the cyclist didn't let him through. For good parts of that route there was no reason why the cyclist couldn't have slowed up, and let the taxi, who was obviously wanting past to pass. So, did the cyclist hold up the taxi or not? Should the cyclist have taken a less dominant position to let the taxi through? Remember Col, you either have to be consistent, or you have to agree that you've changed your mind about cyclist vehicle priorities.

Shocking. Why is it that taxi drivers in particular so often seem to display this dangerous form of bullying on the road?

The speed this guy was cycling I think they would be holding him up sometime;)
Iv changed nothing , this was a genuine incident not brought on by the cyclist in any way with ulterior motives.

Col, on that day I had the incident with the taxi, would I have caught up with the taxi driver further up the road? Do you know the answer to this?

I would argue for Mags and Col to not dilute the content of this thread, which is obvously a very serious incident, with arguments about interpretations of previous footage. It seems to me that that particular debate isn't relevant within this thread and somewhat negates it.

I'm not saying it isn't valid, I just wonder if it belongs somewhere else.

True, although it was eluded to it in the first post. I'm happy to leave it, although I would suggest that it is relevant in that there are similarities (and differences) between the incidents which lead to discussion.
