Unfortunately, my devious ploy of no longer purchasing but renting has boxed me into a corner as Amazon now own Lovefilm.

Have to watch out for dodgy copies though. Bought Woman in Black (the hard-to-get version) I think they must have recorded it using a mobile phone. Sent it back and ordered a pukka one from the States.

Both Play & Tesco both use off-shore tax havens by claiming the operation in based in Jersey.

This is a game of cards which I hope the current toff's are prepared to follow though on, but I suspect they haven't the balls.

DVD's ... soooo last year

Just had a 'technology fail' in our house.

Asked kids if they wanted to watch a film, fair few on the PC for streaming via the Xbox, nope, daughter wanted to watch Wallace and Gromit on Video . Film watched, DVD/Video player then chewed up said tape . Daughter upset, me no happy as had to extract unit from cupboard to pull to bits to remove tape (lots of cussing). Tape in bin, daughter not happy as can't watch it again. Me - I'll download you a copy !
