MOD NOTE
The thread being referred to was entitled "So much for ..." and was Deleted for being a re-post of a photograph in another thread, with the express intention of antagonising some Members of CC and added nothing to the previous discussions on the same subject.

The thread had been Reported, was considered by the Mods and was removed for the reason given. Perhaps it would have been better to have Closed the thread with this explanation given.

My apologies for the confusion it has caused.

So I get chastised for posting off topic, so create a new thread and apologise, only to then have the legit new thread deleted without any explanation.

Fair enough on your comment about not closing and posting why, but my thread wasn't meant to antagonise, but to ask if others automatically assume that helmet wearing in an advert means they are pro helmet or whether it has no effect of the advert is for something else.

I think the deletion of the thread is rather short sighted in this example and only panders to the anti helmet wearers once again...

I think this is the really important bit. I've never seen vita used like this, and a google doesn't help. It's obvious what it's about in context, but online dictionaries (including the Oxford) only have it from latin meaning life, in the sense of curriculum vitae with no indication of it meaning nature or outdoors etc.

Plus, a helmet once saved my life!
