SOAKED! Cycling In The Rain Is Worth It Sometimes

Normally I do everything I can to avoid the rain.

Today I had a choice. Turbo or rain. I chose rain.

It was pouring. I was soaked through after a few minutes. So bad that I could feel the pool of water formed underneath my palm in my gloves.

But it made an otherwise boring standard route near home pretty exciting.

Every car going past, descent, corner, it changes it all!

Not something I would have normally chosen to do, but mixing it up is fun sometimes (though think my wife's going to kill me when she sees the state of the carpet )

It can be rather nice riding in the rain, as long as the temperature is high enough to stop you getting cold. Not too often, mind...

I quite like riding in the rain. Not if it's too cold, mind, but just rain is fine and gives a different perspective on things.

I often think that rain is making me go really fast due to lower friction. It's not always the case but is fun whilst ithe lasts!
