Heard the news on Saturday that a 29 year old cyclist was killed a couple of miles from where I live, going down Sandridge Hill into Melksham. This happened at 8.20pm on Friday, but the road where the accident occurred is fairly wide and dead straight, so I'm struggling to work out how it happened.
Made me think a bit as I am now setting off in the dark on weekend mornings to not impinge too much on family time, and have cycled the same road where this accident happened on several occasions. Needless to say lights and high viz are much in evidence on these occasions!
