Software that automatically splits videofiles

I'm sure someone posted a link to a piece of software that splits a video file from your camera when it detects that you have covered the lens for a couple of seconds.

Seems like a good alternative to the turn off and back on approach.

I can't seem to find it on here, and my Google-fu is failing me. Anyone remember what it is?

Don't think so.
The one I have in mind would analyse your video file and automatically spit it where it detected that the lens had been covered for a few seconds.
