Following on from the athlete in the Hyrox event who had a misha.
As this happened to anyone one here.
I have a few near misses such as finishing the Otley triathlon I had rush and find a loo and missed out on getting my prize for first time and winning my age group.

In a club 10, my minute man pulled over to the side of the road just before the turn and scuttled into some trees.

After the finish I asked him what happened and he said he very urgently needed a number 2!

I'd have thought shedding some weight in a race would be quite welcome! I'd be interested to hear how one would extract the "weight" from ones tight cycling shorts whilst going full gas though.

Personally I've never been caught short, not for a number two anyway, I'm as regular as clockwork on that front and won't even go out on the bike if "my time" is close. I'll wait till I've done the deed and then go out.

Running about with diarrhoea running down your leg seems pretty bonkers to me but runners are well known to be slightly peculiar.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be a member of the Ultramarathon community back in the 80's and 90's. Overwhelmingly a friendly, kind and supportive group with some really interesting characters.
One chap " Rustle " ( not his real name, but a nickname he was given due to the sound made by the black bin bags he used to protect his legs during torrential rain in one particular 24 hour track race ) travelled down by coach from Glasgow to London overnight just in time for the start of a 24 hr round Tooting Bec track before Getting the coach back. Another lad cycled from Leamington Spa to Solihull for a 24, then cycled back after the race was over. About 25 miles each way ( plus the 100+ he ran around the track. ). As I said, some interesting and eccentric characters, but kind and generous in spirit. ( I was probably the only "normal " person 🤔)

Or more likely the sexy feel of the lycra gave him the urge for a quick number 3!
