Should be a good day for solar here today. Did you get your battery charged last night @cougie uk ?

My batteries arrived charged up so I thought I'd give it a day or two to see how full they get through the solar on a January day.

Looks dull out this morning so I doubt we will get too much.

This mornings challenge is that our podpoint EV charger didn't work last night so I probably need to reset that. I think it happened once before when we swapped internet. I need to make notes for myself!

It’s definitely a whole new learning curve. Worth it though.

Probably the dullest day we have had for weeks. I will try to charge the battery overnight I think.

To be brighter next couple of days !!! Battery has not been charged since last Friday. However Solar at time even though it’s dull as ditch water up here , it’s kept the empty house ticking over in periods of the day . So consumption from the grid is less !

Batteries peaked at 78% today so that will take us nicely into tomorrow. Just over 3kwh added into the car at lunchtime too.

Just noticed the smart meter going crazy. Investigated and the inverter thinks it's 0.30 and the cheap rate electric has kicked in so it's topping itself up.

Set the time and date on the inverter and it's back to normal.

You'd think smart stuff like thus would know what time it is. It could have asked Alexa like I do.

Someone remind me to check the time on it when the clocks go forward or back!

A whopping 1.2kwh plucked from the sky on its first day. The weather was very dull and the actual forecast was fog so hopefully we will improve on that record this year !

9 kWh yesterday of which 2 kWh went to the grid for a return of about 30p. It was a pretty sunny day unlike today, I cannot wait until proper summer to start some real payback on the system.

Suns oot !!! Panels generating approx 2kW just now . Kinda hoping battery gets a good charge today. Dunno why but it’s exporting as well as charging , when ideally I’d want the battery to fill up first ?? May need to ask that question in the Pussbook group !

Not too bad and happy with this for January . Used slot during the day but trying to think smarter. So dishwasher on timer for when sun was shining . Then son cleaning out his car with the mahoosive wet and dry vacuum!
