The FIT scheme is closed to new applicants this last four years, but still very much exists and will do so until 2044 whe the final 25 year contract accepted under the scheme expires.

I've got 5kw nominal, 16 big panels, the largest they'd let you connect to the grid for FIT purposes at the tim3. That limit may well have changed in the intervening period.

Aw I feel inferior with only 12 panels. I'm still amazed at how much electric it kicks out. It wasn't very sunny here today and we still got 16kWh.

We have 26 panels

And 41.29kWh today.

Shows what’s possible , if you have the room and location for them .
Best day of the year so far for me, also exported a lot as well ! Wish Octopus would get their finger out !

25kW generated and 7.5 exported . All from 5kW of panels .

21kw generated, nearly all used in the house, and getting paid for all of it too - what's not to like!

Got my export sorted with Octopus so at least getting a bit more. It’s been a good weekend ! Battery fully charged all weekend . House running on solar , loads of washing done . Yield is improving. Envious of those whom can get a lot more panels on the roof ! However can’t complain on the 5kW I’ve got just now. Managed 26kW yield on Sat !

Pretty happy with the first week of decent sun this year. I'm fairly certain that the export numbers are wrong (they are double what my inverter says was exported) but octopus say the meter is all ok.

Managed to break 30kw this month in a single day . This week and next looking super dooper for solar. Hardly drew anything from the grid this week ! I expect to be exporting loads all next week as we are away on holiday ! Only MIL at home doggy sitting !

June July & August are usually the best months. They certainly were for us last year.

May is almost always the best month for us. July and Aug are normally TOO hot. Solar panels don't like baking sun all day, which seems counter intuitive, but from over 11 years of figures seems to be true - for me at least.

That does make sense, but it wasn't what we experienced last year (the first with the panels).

May 1.249MWh, June 1.4, July 1.361, August 1.378. Not that those are a huge jump from May.

And May is looking likely to be higher this year, given the forecast for the next week.
