Was that a typo on your advert ? 'imported from the US 2/3 years ago'.

No wasn't a typo, just a story too boring and convoluted to go into on an eBay listing. Basically, my uncle lives in the US. He acquired the bike there some time whenever, decided after a while it would suit my dad better and shipped it over to him 2/3 yrs ago. I'm not saying the bike is 2/3 yrs old, or was imported brand new, if that's what you're thinking.

In hindsight mentioning it at all could cause a bit of confusion, but I've googled the bike model and could only find references to it on US websites, so was trying to explain why a US bike was in the UK....

Yes, I know what you mean, best to keep it simple on ebay! good luck with the auction, no doubt there is someone looking for just such a fine example of a vintage roadbike, which looks really good.

Cheers.

Went for £127 in the end - think my Dad was only looking for enough to cover the tax he had to pay when it was sent him so he's happy!

Now let's see if I can amend the title to say SOLD!
