Some advice on off road tyres for a hybrid bike please.

I have a Trek 7500 hybrid like THIS and I would like to get some off road tyres for it so that I can take it on some rougher tracks and trails, but I'm really not sure what to get.

Can any of you offer some advice please?

Take a look at Cyclocross tyres. Hybrid and CX bikes are quite similar. My Ridley came with Challenge Griffo tyres in 32mm which are great.
