About 5 years ago I walked my eldest daughter to school and when we got there realised that we had forgotten her project work that was due in that day. Accordingly I nipped home to get that and dropped it back to the school office.
On my way out of the school by which time it was 30 minutes or so after the latest time they should have arrived, I noticed the boy from her class who was most often in trouble sitting in his father's car parked on the yellow zig-zag lines outside the school (they live all of 300 yards away), eating his breakfast which was a Magnum ice-cream, while his grossly-obese thug of a father smoked with all the windows wound up nice and tight.
I thought you poor little sod, you have both nature and nurture working against you there.......
