Which is why I say read the policy documents first before calling. If they do cover vandalism as a no fault claim then this should be in there...
But not necessarily if they'll still load your policy for said no fault claim...regardless of protected ncb

Sorry to hear that @Sandra6 rotten scum out there. Similar happened to my sister she bought a brand new car last year, her first ever new car, nothing flashy just a snall hatchback.A few weeks later while proudly washing it she came across a sizeable dent in the bonnet she was understandably gutted. She 's a really decent sort aswell gets on with everyone.

@numbnuts thats a gut wrenching story. truly horrible.

Went out to the car yesterday to find a nasty scratch down one door panel and across the bonnet. On closer inspection there's also damage to the passenger door , rear window, and in two more places across the back.
Who the feck does that?!
We live on a dead end estate a few miles from town, you can't just "pass through" so this has most likely been done by someone who either lives close by or was visiting.
We also park on a driveway, right up by a wall, so they've very deliberately walked around the car to do this.
It would seem we are the only ones to have been hit -the police asked if I might know who'd done it.
Erm, sure, because I'm in the habit of peeing people off so much that they'd come round in the middle of the night to take revenge!!
This is our compromise car, so we could save a bit of money, it's 3 months old!!! Mr6 is not a happy man.
The kids won't be happy come xmas when we gift wrap them the body repair!!
Movement detecting web cams can be very cheap to buy...wireless and simple to hide.

Hope this is a one off. Rotten stuff.

A few years ago my car was getting scratched weekly, I had no idea who was doing it and my car was the only one on the car park that was being scratched.
After a few months nearly every panel had a mark on it and by this time I had give up and couldn't care less, one morning I went down to find a dent in the valance on the rear door, now this really pissed me off so while I was in town I went to the police to show them, they said which surprised me “you know the person who it doing this, who have you upset”.
I had a long think about this and I came up with no one, I'm well liked in my area and I try to help people out that I know.
A few months later I close friend was diagnosed with cancer and I was there for him took him to he hospital and made sure he got all the financial help he could, the scratches still continued.
Fast forward a few months he was dying in hospital and I went to visit, his family were all there and out of the blue he said “has the scratches stopped” I replies “couldn't care less now the car is ruined and it would cost too much for a respray”.
A few days later he died, at the funeral I sat next to one of his friends and he said to me “I'm surprised your here, he hated you, he was so jealous as you had everything he wanted”.

The scratches stopped...........

Bizarre and rather sad story. The bloke sounds like Iago

We had our last car keyed, parked it at work on garage next doors front one Saturday and it had been keyed down one side when I'd finished work.

It was the only Saturday they ever turned up and you could see the guilt on their faces when I confronted them on the Tuesday.

Worst bit was it ruined our weekend camping, I'd driven the family down on Friday nigh and pitched up, drove back to work on Saturday morning.. Put a real downer on the weekend..

If you have a helmet cam, while out cycling, could you leave it on an upstairs window ledge, just a thought.
You can't see the car from the house, not even from the upstairs windows, because of the garden wall. We'd have to mount a camera on the wall or the garage itself.
Mr6 has contacted the insurance today, so it'll cost us the excess plus around £50 a year on the premiums. :-(

I think 2016 can just fark off!

Oh dear, what a nasty thing to happen. Not good at all.Indeed you will be glad to see the back of this year.I don't know what it is(and I say this as a Carliol born and bred)but there always seems to be a confrontational atmosphere in this city.Just under the surface perhaps, but its there-the loons don't need drink! This afternoon I went into an estate chemist to collect some tablets. The staff were struggling manfully with the problem of a breakdown in the system which enables communication between GP and chemist. To add to their problems were a couple of silly loudmouthed women and a feckless druggie-"Urry up chore pal eh"_you know the sort of conversation these retards can manage. The woman started giggling uncontrollably, the druggie pushed me and both got a lesson they will long remember.I and in fairness, several others, who remained calm and polite found,as if by magic, that our prescriptions were available.:okay:No doubt whatever scratched your car is as feckless and meanspirited as the rest.Stick with it kid, there are more for you than against you.:okay:

Have you noticed how much quieter Scotch St and Rosemary Lane are now that a certain establishment is closed for refurbishment?

I hope all the people who wrote on this thread are not the same people who constantly criticise the car in favour of the bicycle as that would be ironic wouldn't it?
