Excruciating enough to make me think they were commissioned by the temperance movement.Those are nice. Victorian pressed glass is fascinating, I used to collect it a bit. Once there was a cheaper way of making sparkly decoration on glass than by cutting it, the designers went completely overboard and put loads of it all over the place. Those handles look really uncomfortable.
