And that something is my old Trek 800 Sport. So, try and find a replacement. Bingo! A couple of older Treks to look at.. Similar setup, alloy frames. All good. Front suspension can be swapped out for rigid. Watch this space!

Settled on a Trek Navigator 100. Low-end, certainly, but a good fixer-upper for a tenner, and I have the parts needed to upgrade it somewhat.

Later today, hopefully. Have some 50mm City Jet tanwalls for it, plus upgrade to 8-speed. Might even put the Scott back to 8-speed (again!) and go 9-speed.

Good choice of bike. They are not particularly exciting, but they are reliable workhorses, my Dad had a Navigator for years, and it was a great bike.
