I've owned many cans of WD40 in my life. I use them round the house, on the bike and in the garage. Today one just.... ran out. I didn't know what to do. I'm 57.

I think I have one of those magic workshops. Whenever a can of WD gets anywhere close to running out, another 2 cans miraculously materialise ready for use.

It irks me everything I see the stuff in the shops. You used to be able to buy it quite cheap, seems to me its got expensive.

I've not used WD40 in years, I think I've got a few cans of GT85 lying around and a Christmas pressie MucOff equivalent. But I'm still mourning the can of GT85 I left in my locker at my old work that I left during the 1st lockdown!

Funny, at the week end, we met some old friends and talk got to diy and stuck items.
One of our friends said you just need to spray a bit of UB40 on it.

I use where I have to hand wd40, GT85, Wilko (rip) or Halfords silicone spray. Have several cabs in different places.

Our local cheapo shop has silicon spray £2 and its massive.

My understanding is that if you spray WD-40 on a chain, your bicycle explodes. I've never been brave enough to try it.

I thought that only applied to carbon frames ?
