SORA 3000 Levers with Tiagra 10sp rear derailler

anyone know whether the combination of SORA 3000 Levers(latest ones ) with Tiagra 10sp rear derailler will work ok ?

I have read that the the new Sora and Tiagra levers have slightly different throw to thier previous forebears.

Any info gratefully recieved.

Aren't the Sora 3000 levers 9 speed? If so then that may be your issue.

Agree with DC why not get Tiagra levers they are nice and good value?

The rear mech doesn't care how many speeds the shifters are set up for, just about the pull ratio.

I know 3500 sora shifters would have worked fine with 4600 tiagra, but 4700 tiagra went to a different cable pull to match the newer 11sp shifters.

If I'm reading this compatibility chart correctly, R3000 sora uses the same cable pull as 3500 sora, so would work with a 4600 tiagra mech (or a 5700 105 one), but not a 4700 mech.

You can't. Should work with a 5800 though

Thing is I want to run 9 sp on my winter bike (with new Sora 3000 ) and have a couple of Tiagra 4600 10 sp rear mechs lying around
