I just wondered how often the drivers among you find you have to swerve around a signpost placed in the carriageway which is there to give information to cyclists on the adjacent joint user path?
The reverse situation often applies in my neck of the woods:sad:

PS the authorities have been informed:thumbsup:

No they don't care. We live in a society totally geared towards the safety and convenience of car drivers.

How wide is your bike? I don't see why you would have had to swerve to avoid these temporary obstructions?
Because it is safer to stay near the middle of the substandard width path and unwise to scrape along the barriers on this exposed route, and cyclists would hit the sign if they did not alter course.

The signs have created a nice slalom, much more interesting than the straight path.

I'd be aiming to get a bit of speed up to make it more fun.

Swerve? I think the word is 'negotiate' or 'steer round'. Those signs are no worse than having to dive round a parked vehicle or builders skip on the road side
