Spa touring vs surly long haul trucker

I'm in the same boat, LimeBurn. I live not too far from Spa, so went and had a ride on their steel tourers - they have a number built up for you to try. And you get a proper ride, too, not just up and down the road outside - they directed us onto the new cycleway up to Ripley and we had it out an hour or more: no problem at all, sir.

I can't honestly compare it with a LHT because although I tried one, it was too long for me (I'm 6', and must have short arms or something - long frames are always too long, and I need short stems too). But it's a nice frame and if you get a chance to try one at Spa, they'll be helpful and accommodating.

I'll be back to buy one as soon as the pennies are saved.

Shame their frame only comes in black though....

Thanks for that, black it's not really a problem as I do like the all black look of some tourers

Disc Trucker.. I have one and love it....Thanks for the pointer regards Spa cycles..I have a Crosscheck frame that needs turning into a bike and i was wondering who i might get to build it...
