Just read on the BBC site that it was his parents who went looking for him when he didn't turn up at home, and found his body in a ditch. Absolutely shocking.

The person who hit him and carried on driving must be sitting on this now.
They must now be fairly traumatised by the knowledge that he died.

There must be a fairly big dent on the vehicle also. One hopes thattheir conscience gets the better of them andthey turn themselves in.

It is unforgivable that they left him to die in the ditch

Poor man, RIP.
If whoever hit him would have stopped, called the emergency services right away, maybe he would still be alive.

R.I.P, I still find it hard to believe that some people think so little of another life that they wouldn't stop and get medical assistance for someone in need.

It's gruesome indeed. I remember vividly finding my Dad's body after his fatal collision. Careless car driver knocked him off his motorbike and killed him.

I'm pleased it looks like they got him, but already saddened that for taking a life the offender will get significantly less punishment that Mr Nazir got for simply stealing from investors.

You mean the PollyPeck man? That's Asil Nadir, but yes, I take your point.

All the more shocking for me as it happened in Spalding, 10 miles North of where I live! From what I've read, the driver was from Sleaford which is about 20 miles North of Spalding. I'm afraid my first 'jump-to' conclusion was that the driver was probably under the influence of something.
Horrible, horrible circumstances for his poor parents though.
