Hi all,

My lad has just completed his first little group ride (27 miles) on his new BTwin Triban 3, 48cm frame with 650C wheels - and what a cracking value bike. He's only 12, but can crack along the flats at 17-20mph and climbs well - gravity doesnt exist when you weigh nothing

Now up until now he has used pedals with a short plastic toe clip at the front, but I noticed on hills they weren't holding his foot in, and so it might be time to introduce cleats and get him clipless...

What is the general advice or thoughts on systems for "young" legs and joints?
I use Look Keo on my road bike and SPD's on the commuter... is it horses for courses or is their a recommended set up for kids?

Cheers for your thoughts,

Johnny
