First post in a long while so go easy.

After a few years on my Boardman Hybrid Comp, I am thinking of a little change.

Instead of going down the full on road bike route, I like the look of the gravel or adventure road bikes to give me a bit more flexibility as it isn't always 100% tarmacked roads I am on. At the moment, the Specialized Diverge A1 seems to tick the right boxes in terms of what it is designed for and the price but does anyone know of any alternatives that cost a similar amount (£750 ish) that I should be looking at?

Said without having rode either the Spesh or the one I'm suggesting...you could look at the Boardman CX Team?

If you're a British Cycling member you could get it for £720.

Doesn't look like as 'relaxed' a ride as the Spesh though, so you may wish to take them for a test ride? Evans will let you do it no problem I think - the Boardman you'd have to go to a Cycle Republic I think.

Can't offer any alternatives, but the diverge is a great machine... It's been my reliable steed for 18 months, taking roads and trails in its stride
