Specialized Inner Tube Valve Issue

I recently changed my rubber and whilst doing this I installed some specialized inner tube (simply as this was all the LBS had at the time) Anyway when using my track pump to inflate them I have found the fit to be so tight I’m having to put my whole body weight behind me when removing the pump from the valve. This resulted in me ripping the valve out of the inner tube last night. I think it’s only a matter of time before the second tube goes the same way.

I have never had any issues with such a tight fit using other inner tubes with this track pump. Has anyone had this issue or know if specialized use a slightly bigger valve than other manufacturers?

Never had this problem with Spesh tubes.

Are you sure the inner doughnut in the pump connector head hasn't got so worn that it's slipping right onto the fatter part of the valve stem? It happens after a couple of years of use and you can get new ones for Topeak pumps.

Is there a different design out there now?

My Michein Airstop A1 are very fiddly on my new Topeak Speed Morph and also slightly fiddly on my old Turbo Morph.
With the Speed Morph I have minimal valve entry and I have to be very careful blowing up so as not to lose air.

It's definitely not wear on the pump connector the track pump is on 3/4 months old. Have used it on numerous different inner tubes without issues apart from the specialized tube.

Never had a problem I keep spesh tubes as spares because they are easily available from the LBS. Normally run Michelin Aircomp UltraLight which can be fiddly as they have no thread or collar so you can end up pushing the valve in. Bloody good tubes though.
