Approaching perfection from a distance.
Having a look at a Specialized
S Works Roubaix Dura-Ace this evening.

2011 or 2012 model I think with Mavic Ksyrium carbon ES wheels.

Can't get a link as yet, but it's the black models with kinda silvery/whitish decals.

Good nick it appears and never ridden in the wet (guy seemed worried that I might want to ride it in the rain this evening ^_^).

Any thoughts but, more to the point, is it worth 1500 quid if it fits!?

Yes it's worth £1500 - probably much more. Check it's not stolen ! Ksyriums aren't carbon - the centre of the hub maybe but the rims are alloy.

Check the frame number against a specialized store, they can tell you who purchased the bike.
There are also a lot of specialized Roubaix for sale which has had S-Works decals applied. So be careful.
The 2011 bike will also be a totally different frame set to the 2012 bike

Slightly confused. Had a look at the bike; I'm no expert, but didn't feel right for an S-Works. Certainly no lighter than my 2012 Madone 4.9 even with Dura-Ace as opposed to the Madone's Ultegra and definitely not as well looked after. Lifted my mates Roubaix from the back of his van last Saturday - felt as light as a feather and totally different from the bike I tried today, so who knows, maybe they've just added S-Works decals on to a standard Roubaix frame

So decided there's no point in spending 1500 on a bike that wouldn't be an upgrade on my current best bike.

Thanks for the help fellas.
