Then again, Postman, they may not. Sorry about that an'all

Had mine done last week. Got some new specs from a local place that doesn't do the eye tests but does the glasses. Two pairs, one photochromatic, the other sunglasses: £126 all in.

I found the scruffy little shop where all the local opticians send their repairs (when they've failed to persuade the customer that their glasses can't be repaired) and the bloke made me up some clear prescription cycling specs for £50.

I went there a few years ago as i needed my eye's tested. got my perscription completly wrong and ended up with glasses that i could see out of.. all good and great when i can say i can read the bottom line but doesn't help if they aren't noted down correctly.

Just got some cycling glasses and new glasses.. cost me just over £500

I recently bought some new glasses at Vision Express. Decided to get some nice ones for a change as the most I had ever spent on a pair of glasses was £100.
Got some Oakley frames and thin lenses which came to almost £300  , luckily as I get my contacts on DD I got an £80 discount, which was a bit more pallet able.

I've been happy with VE's service recently, after a recent eye infection which lasted about 4 months. I was having appointments almost every week.

Me too!

Although after my third pair of Oakley's, a pair of RayBans and a pair of DKNY's(over 10 years), I think I may start to shop around as they're becoming a tad expensive. I felt £400 for my last pair of glasses OTT.

I can read it perfectly well.
Shame I smashed my nose up against the screen while doing so!

OTOH, when they got my 'reading' glasses wrong (I'd said I needed them for computer work and they ended up being for very close book work instead), they re-did them for free and let me keep the other lenses too, as well as showing me how to swap them over if I ever changed my mind.
