My Edge 800 (bought march 2011) stopped talking to my HRM.
Phoned the service line, who said try a new strap - one arrived 2 days later. Did not work.
Phoned the service line. Told to send 800 & HRM back.
Sent last thursday.
Today received a brand new boxed item as bought ie 800, HRM, strap AND Cadence monitor with all bike fittings and charging cables.

Well done Mr Garmin

I love my Garmin Edge 705. Want to upgrade but don't have the cash at the moment. Good to hear that they provide excellent customer service as well as excellent products!

Garmin after sales servic is second to none for all there products

I don't know about all of their products but certainly I've received top notch service from them on the 2 occasions that I've phoned them.

Phoned as opposed to emailed that is. Their email support is not good ime.
 
I mistakenly tried their email support when my edge 305 went on the blink (the garmin was sporadically switching off), the support wasn't very fast or effective though, all they could really suggest was reboot. I later phoned them and go the opposite experience, it was really fast and effective. Quite quickly they said my 305 was part of a dodgy bunch and they'd replace it, there was no mention of warranty (I suspect it might have been out), and the new unit arrived before the weekend and my sportif :becool:
