Get you cyclist bingo card at the ready..........

I understand that this cyclist was stopped in a London park for going to fast.

Wait for it to talk about speeding cyclists on the roads.

I've had people complain to me about speeding cyclists on the road. I always ask what was the speed limit. 30, we'll have you tried going 30 mph on a bike.

The cyclist is a bit of a well known in some parts character.

As for 30mph ever since time began I try my best to hit that speed if only for a short while on every ride, most times I get there and sometimes a fair bit more. Not got a clue why, just a habit that one day will stop.

CTC spokes person not that great to be honest.

I think he also admitted he had not been with the CTC for very long.

So iPods and cyclists. Red lights, going to fast down hill

Have we got bingo yet?

@T50red: @LBC @clivebull it should be legal for pedestrians to push cyclists over if they ride on the pavement or don't stop at zebra crossings

With comments like above
Advocating vigilante violence .........

We are onto number plates now

@Muhammad_Muneer: @LBC @clivebull put number plates on those things.
And get them insured, so next time when they hit your car, you can sue them for damages

The average cyclist doing 20-25mph in a 30 zone is being wholly inconsiderate to other motorists by making it difficult to overtake.

You should all be riding at 10mph so motorists aren't forced to feel inferior by sitting behind a cyclist.

Why do idiots like that fail to understand that they can a) STILL bloody sue a cyclist insurance or not, and b) if they HAD insurance (and around a 3rd do voluntarily to my understanding) he'd be taking it to the insurer, not the rider for the claim/damages.....

I found it funny today that when I was in the big cog how many motorists blasted past me. No way were they doing 30, knowing the road I hazard a guess at 50-60mph.

Why don't the cyclist undertake a protest.

All the cyclists run next to their bikes around the park.

So they will effectively be going faster than 5mph but not actually cycling.

A 5mph limit is essentially a cycle ban.

TBH I didn't hear this debate - but if its like any other debate on LBC re cycling I'm guessing it was pretty ill informed.
A couple of years ago Julia Hartley Brewer 'debated' a clip of a cyclist being undertaken in a bus lane by a police car.
There is the Evening Standard article about the video here: http://www.standard.co.uk/news/lond...r-turns-anger-into-a-youtube-hit-8196791.html
It descended into a pretty ill informed debate withion minutes with the host admitting she was clueless about when one is allowed to undertake, if ever. The usual cycle haters rang in. One said he had twisted his windscreen washer jets so he could deliberately squirt cyclists and encouraged others to do so. She laughed and said it was a great idea. I did complain to ofcom about sanctioning crime on a national radio station - last time I checked they said the complaint was still open, but I doubt they'll do anything about it...
