...very nice, a budding artist I reckon. Reminds me of the Airfix models I used to make as kid - Spifire, Hurricane etc all dangling from the bedroom ceiling from cotton strings. Then, when I got my first air gun, shot them all to smithereens.................as you do......
You just reminded me, there is some other letters and numbers on the wing and fuselage that I need to put on. I'll do it before I give it to him.
My brother once bought me a fireman Smurf that had a hose that worked. I didn't realise my dolls house was made of compressed cardboard when I pretended it was on fire...very nice, a budding artist I reckon. I thought it was just me who went airgun crazy as a youth, when i shot all the baubles on the Christmas tree!!

My brother shot his female friend. Took aim across a field thinking he'd miss and he only shot her about an inch from her eye! My dad went ballistic! Sawed his gun in half after giving him a good hiding and grounding him for life. Think he's still grounded!

Living near to Biggin Hill, sometimes the air is thick with Spitfires.
Our local fete was beaten up by a Mark XXVI the other week. There were grown men with tears in their eyes and it wasn't the sun.

Nice painting and I wouldn't mess around with it any more; nobody will notice the lack of authenticity. The good thing is that it's clear that a lot of effort and patience has gone into it. You have a pleasingly simple, naive style that reminds me somehow of Beryl Cook, who flourished in the 80s or Alex Colville the Canadian artist. Best of all you capture the sweeping graceful lines of the Spitfire perfectly.

Not the only one.........................Loved doing that too... used to drive my pops mad as he used to spend hours helping and subsequently taking over making them.
