As teenagers, friend and I had the munchies (if you know what I mean). We pull into the local A&W drive in, famous for the "Burger Family," which includes the Papa, Mama, The Teen Burger and Baby Burgers.

This was a real drive-in, where you pulled up and waitresses (sometimes on roller skates) came to the car window, and served on an adjustable tray that fit over rolled down windows.

So, we pull up and I order a "Teen Burger and ... a rootular regbeer, please."

We dissolved into a 5 minute fit of laughter from which we almost suffocated.

Then there was the Australian broadcaster on the occasion of the first UK/Australian radio link-up who said something along the lines of, "I am speaking to you through the British Broadcorping Castration"

a portmanteau word, a blend of two words where the syllables actually get mixed up. Examples are 'smog', 'brunch', 'telethon' etc.

There's a bit in the children's film Milo & Otis where the chickens are disturbed, and the narrator (Dudley Moore) says "the chickens left the hen-house in a clucking flurry"

I had to get the children to rewind the video to check what I had just heard.
