Sports that shouldn't be in the Olympics

Son and I were watching the coverage today and got to discussing which Olympic sport is the most boring to watch on TV

Sailing

We also discussed how to improve Judo which, fundamentally, is a good TV sport but too many bouts without proper throws. We got as far as electric shock equipment in the jacket, tanks with piranhas in the mat and "doubles" judo where there are two on each team on the mat at the same time.

Truly, the only thing that should be banned is TV reporters (namely the BBC) asking the most moronic questions as if we are all about 5 and couldn't possibly understand anything!!

Oh and jingoism, there should be no preference for any country whatsoever, especially the UK.

I think Clare Balding needs to be sent home - utterly demented at times, some absurd questions and yesterday she was in me, me, me mode inviting the audience to join her and the athletes at the Olympics. Sorry to disappoint you Clare but I wasn't tuning in to specifically watch you.

If you don't like the sport, watch something else instead of starting threads like this.
Unfortunately, these commentators on the telly permeate everything, so that is where the real rot should be removed.

So true in Balding's case - a truly lightweight presenter she has somehow managed to permeate the Beeb on TV & radio to hitherto unknown extremes.

How many shows and how many sports plus assorted events (eg SPOTY & Crufts) has she been on now?

I haven't been watching the Olympics much so can't comment on recent form. But in the past, I thought Balding was noteworthy compared to most sports commentators for (a) doing her research before an event and (b) asking questions in interviews that allowed the interviewee to talk intelligently about the substance of their achievement.
