Just downloaded Spotify to my iPhone !

Anybody here use it ?

Does it use up much data allowance ?

Using the 'free' app - shuffles tracks from albums !

Pros - It's the the best thing since stealing music.

I've got premium too, but to be honest I'm thinking of dumping it. I find that MixRadio on my Lumia, with it's ability to learn what music I like and generate mixes - you first tell it 3 artists you like, and it then will generate a mix based on those, which you can fine-tune with thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons. There's also their own mixes, which are generally pretty good. You can download up to 4 mixes for offline listening, and it's completely free, with no ads. I find this fine for in the car, etc, and I hardly use Spotify.

Other way around for me: the only real benefit to Premium over Unlimited IMV is offline listening, which is useful on a mobile but not on a computer. So far as I can see, the supposed sampling rate difference is fictitious - I haven't come across any tracks available at a higher rate in Premium than Unlimited. Like you, I play through my hifi.

I have the premium version it's mainly good....but I hate it when music disappears from my play lists. ..cause it's no longer available

There is definitely a noticeable difference in quality with different sampling rates, but despite Spotify listing this as a difference between the two levels, it delivers identical sampling rates on all the tracks I've checked. Can you give an example of a track available at a higher sampling rate on Premium than on Unlimited?

Run it with a console open and it will show you the track data, which includes bitrate.

Easily solved by paying a fiver a month for Unlimited. Spotify hides the unlimited option extremely well - I think the only way to get it is to pay £10 for month month of Premium, then cancel, at which point they offer you Unlimited instead.
I had unlimited until very recently. Personally I use Spotify less and Soundcloud more these days, so I cancelled my fiver a month. The only reasons I upgraded in the first place were the ridiculous limitations Spotify imposed on Free customers (fixed number of hours per month, fixed number of listens per track etc) which are no longer in force.
