Spotify versus Apple Music

Does anyone use the latter? I know there is a lot of love for Spotify but we are a house full of Apple technology and iTunes is built into everything.

I'm thinking of a subscription service for my daughter, and the family option of Apple Music is appealing as its only a fiver more for up to 6 accounts

I've got free Spot and Amazon prime which gives you a ton of music, a bonus really as they didn't have it when I signed up.

I've been a premium Spotify user for a long time and switched to the Apple Music free trial this month to give it a go. I mainly listen on a PC when working from home, or an iPhone when running or in the car, blue toothed to car speakers or amp in the house when wanting to party a bit.

Findings so far - iPhone app isn't as good as Spotify, harder to find stuff, suggestions not so good, and many times I hit play I just get long delays before the tracks start to play. iTunes on a pc is horrible. The user interface for Spotify on iPad, iPhone and PC just work and work well together. Think I'll be swapping back before the month is out.

Ps. I tried deezer as well recently, and found that better than Apple Music in terms of user interface and finding music I wanted, but didn't get on with it as well as Spotify, I think it's the apps that make the experience work well.

I've used Spotify free just after it started but back then I didn't listen to much mainstream music as I was into dance and house music. I listen to more rock music now, but this is for my daughter who, being a girl, will listen to anything pop music orientated especially boy bands

Used Spotify when it was free and went premium asap. Love it. Has saved my sanity on this scandi gig being able to listen to what I like, where I like, when I like.

Pretty good actually, for me it seems to contain most of the music I like so I will drop Spotify. Download the amazon music app and give it a try.

I have spotify and Amazon prime music. Amazon music is fantastic. There are hundreds of thousands of songs and music. Its brilliant.

Spotify all the way. Even the free version suits my needs. The odd advert is nowhere near as annoying as the local Radio, and the forced shuffle play is no bother either. I've had nothing but trouble with iTunes

Funnily enough been using Apple Music for the last few months. Spotify seems a bit easier to navigate . Will probably go back be try it out again. The biggest advantage I think is the cost for family membership . Seems good value!
